Multiverse
On the bureaucratic branching of possible outcomes.
Filed under: Parallel Branching · Timeline Budgeting · Existential Version Control
Reality may not be singular.
It may simply be current.
If outcomes can branch, they eventually will.
Administrative continuity does the rest.
Each decision represents a divergence.
Each divergence implies a continuation.
In one branch, you agreed.
In another, you hesitated.
Both versions consider themselves primary.
Quantum mechanics does not forbid plurality.
It politely accommodates it.
The improbability of a given outcome is merely an accounting problem.
Somewhere, the ledger balances.
“Of COURSE we can’t visit other branches of the Multiverse; we can barely make it to the moon!”
“Of COURSE there’s a universe where the experiment worked; that timeline simply had funding!”
“Of COURSE parallel worlds don’t collide; NOBODY wants merge conflicts with a reality such as ours!”
